About the Baseline Education Census

The Baseline Education Census is a national exercise to count every school in Uganda - pre-primary, primary, secondary, and Non-Tertiary non-tertiary institutions - together with their learners, teachers and the basic infrastructure that sits behind them. It was undertaken by the Uganda Bureau of Statistics in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Sports and complements the 2024 Population and Housing Census.

This portal makes the census results browsable down to the parish: cascading dashboards, drill-in maps, a builder for ad-hoc tables, and the full set of UBOS report tables exactly as published - with sub-region, urban / rural and district appendix breakdowns preserved.
